Systems Engineer I
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure are available.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with internal teams to implement those fixes.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to increase system (and team) efficiency and lower the human intervention time on tasks.
- Responsible for technical escalation from Desktop Support team.
- Act as a liaison with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Requirements
- Technical or bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience developing, managing, and monitoring Azure cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune/Endpoint Manager and Autopilot.
- Must have experience with Windows-based operating systems.
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure resources using automation tools like PowerShell.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English at an intermediate level.
