About NLC

NLC India Limited (NLC), formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited, is a central public sector undertaking controlled by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It annually produces around 30 million tonnes of lignite from mines in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. This lignite fuels pithead thermal power stations with a capacity of 3640 MW. Additionally, NLC has diversified into renewable energy, operating a 1404 MW solar power plant and generating 51 MW from windmills. Established in 1956, NLC was initially fully government-owned but later listed some of its shares on stock exchanges.

Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited (NLCIL), a prestigious Navratna Public Sector Enterprise, is seeking applications exclusively from Project Affected Persons (PAPs) of NLCIL, Neyveli Units for Industrial Trainee positions. This training program spans three years and offers 239 vacancies. Candidates with qualifications ranging from 10th grade to ITI are eligible to apply. NLC Recruitment 2024 Education Qualification

Industrial Trainee/SME & Technical (O&M)

Candidates must possess a Full-time Diploma in Engineering course with a minimum duration of 3 years. In the case of Diploma lateral candidates with an XII qualification, the minimum duration required is two years.

Industrial Trainee (Mines & Mines Support Services)

Candidates must have either passed the X Standard and obtained an ITI (NTC) in any Engineering Trade or passed the X Standard and possess a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in any Engineering Trade.

Note:
i. All Diploma/Degrees in Engineering should have been acquired through the full-time mode of study, recognized by the AICTE/UGC/State Board of Technical Education.
ii. The minimum qualifying percentage of marks in educational qualification is 50% (aggregate) for UR, EWS & OBC candidates, and 40% (aggregate) for SC/ST candidates.
iii. Relaxation in the minimum qualifying percentage of marks for SC/ST candidates is not applicable for consideration against unreserved posts.
iv. Only candidates who have passed the notified qualification can apply.
v. All qualifications should have been acquired from Indian Universities/Institutes recognized by AICTE, UGC, NCVT, or any other appropriate statutory authority in India.

NLC Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

The minimum age limit to apply for NLC Recruitment 2024 is 18 years, with age relaxation available for special category candidates.

• Upper Age Limit (As on 01/03/2024):

1. UR/EWS: 37 years
2. OBC(NCL): 40 years
3. SC/ST: 42 years

• Age Relaxation:

1. OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India guidelines
2. Valid certificates must be uploaded during application registration.

• Relaxation Not Applicable:

1. SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates for unreserved posts.

• Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Relaxation:

1. As per extant Govt. of India guidelines.

NLC Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

• Selection for training will be based on a written test.
• Final selection will be in order of merit, with reservation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS categories.
• In case of a tie, priority will be given based on the candidate’s date of birth, followed by alphabetical order of their first name.

1. 25% for awardees whose awards were passed before 01-01-2014.
2. 25% for awardees whose awards were passed from 01-01-2014 to 30-06-2022.
3. 50% for awardees whose awards were passed from 01-07-2022 onwards.
4. Awardees of land awards passed before 30-06-1989 are not eligible to apply for the training scheme.

NLC Recruitment 2024 Stipend

1)Industrial Trainee/SME & Technical (O&M):

• ₹18,000 per month (1st year)
• ₹20,000 per month (2nd year)
• ₹22,000 per month (3rd year)

2)Industrial Trainee (Mines & Mines Support Services):

• ₹14,000 per month (1st year)
• ₹16,000 per month (2nd year)
• ₹18,000 per month (3rd year)

NLC Recruitment 2024 Training

• Trainees will be posted to any Place / Area / Unit of NLC India Limited, Neyveli for training.
• The duration of the trainee will be for three years.
