About NLC

NLC India Limited (NLC), formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited, is a central public sector undertaking controlled by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It annually produces around 30 million tonnes of lignite from mines in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. This lignite fuels pithead thermal power stations with a capacity of 3640 MW. Additionally, NLC has diversified into renewable energy, operating a 1404 MW solar power plant and generating 51 MW from windmills. Established in 1956, NLC was initially fully government-owned but later listed some of its shares on stock exchanges.

NLC Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

Applicants must ensure they are under 30 years old as of March 1, 2024, to be eligible. However, there are relaxations in the upper age limit available for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

NLC Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection process will involve a Written Test worth 100 marks. The question paper for the Written Test will comprise 100 Multiple Choice Objective Type questions, each carrying one mark. Importantly, there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

NLC Recruitment 2024 Exam Pattern

• For the post of Junior Engineer (F1-S grade), candidates will undergo evaluation in the Written Test for 100 marks, distributed as follows:
