The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our AgilePlace Product Team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will join a high functioning team of software professionals delivering an award winning work management tool.

What You’ll Do
What you’ll do:

  • Improve existing features and collaborate to build innovative new features that delight users, enhance performance and scalability.
  • Write code for new and existing api endpoints, integrations, utility apps and automations as part of team.
  • Design and build new infrastructure supporting a highly available SaaS application.
  • Write unit tests, integration tests, and continuous integration components to maintain our high code quality standards.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues across various layers of the application stack.
  • Document software and systems thoroughly and ensure all code is suitably fit for use and adheres to the company’s coding standards.
  • Research and implement new industry trends, continually updating and improving application capabilities.
  • Grow as a developer by reading, completing course work or experimenting with new technologies

What You’ll Bring
What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 3 year’s experience working with established software teams.
  • Strong understanding of modern web development technologies and methodologies such as React, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency with relational databases such as MS SQL, MySql, Oracle, or similar tools.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, critical thinking skills, and the ability to understand complex software architecture.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub actions, Docker, etc) and managing SDLC environments (Dev, Test, Staging, Prod) Experience administering Windows and Linux environments Hands on experience with observability tools / services (Datadog, New Relic, Sumo Logic)
  • Managed large-scale production workloads in the public cloud (AWS, Azure)
  • Practical knowledge of containers and delivery of services via containers (Kubernetes preferred)
  • Experience with Node/Javascript and an understanding of CommonJs and other module systems.
